Ideals**:**

Ideally, the user of a smartwatch would have access to various brands which focus entirely or at least have a serious interest in designing UX-inspired products.

Reality:

The reality is, only the first party products like those found from Samsung and Apple have really put extensive thought into how the users interact with the UI of their watch, meaning that there's a bubble in the third party for such a product.

Concequence:

• Users find that while running, their watch face isn't clear or readable.
• Their watch face may use too much battery life and don't focus on what the user really wants or needs from their smartwatch.
• There are few 'designs' that are both entirely functional and visually pleasing. Though, this depends on the person. However, having studied IxD, I understand when I see poor functionality and good functionality.

Proposals:

Build a wearable brand that focuses on providing functional yet ascetically pleasing watch faces, as well as some form of kit to help designers better create their own watch faces.
